If they accept you to sponsor your spouse, you can't even go on vacation for 2 months during this process and see them? The sponsor has to stay in Canada??

For example, I plan on sending my application this month (april 2012) and I am going on vacation to see my hubby in July-Aug 2012 (2 months) and then coming back to canada.

Willl they refuse it because I am not in canada? I certainly am not going to live in hubby's country, its just to visit because I havent seen him in so long. Anyone know?

Are you a citizen or PR?

I was born and raised here - citizen of canada..

Then in that case, you dont have to actually be in Canada while the PR for your spouse is being processed..that is only for PR's.

If you are a citizen then you are allowed to go but not if you are a PR.You gotta prove that you will return to canada once your spouse get PR.

Correct, and as long as you are going on vacation (and not moving your goods or quitting your job or anything that indicates breaking ties with Canada) you shouldn't have any issues explaining the situation if any questions arise during the process.

Go visit your husband and enjoy spending time with him :) Just make sure someone checks your mail just in case you get something from CIC in the post.
