Hello friends,

There is spelling error in my last name on some of my documents. My passport says "AGARWAL" whereas my marriage certificate, degree shows "AGRAWAL" and thus my spouse passport also says "AGRAWAL". All other documents correctly says AGARWAL.

Please advice as It wont be possible for me to amend the affected document. Is there any other way? OR CIC wouldnt notice or ignorel it?

CIC will notice the spelling error and I'm sure they'll ignore it.

These spelling mistakes in passports are very common in india and cic in India knows what type of silly people are there in passport offices who prepare the passports.

Dont worry on this account as you will be submitting so many other documents where they'll match rest of the details like parentage, address, your dob etc
