If you were drunk (or reckless causing injury/death), then it could be a criminal offence and make your inadmissible. But a normal accident or ticket is not a criminal offence, even if you are at-fault.

totally agreed with seton,if you were an impaired driver then you are most likely out of chance for becoming a permanent resident in canada.
drinking and driving is a serious criminal offence in canada.
if you were sober then no problem,accidents can happen anytime to anyone and have no impact on immigration status.
