Hi all
I have applied for Spousal Open Work permit on 6th April 2023. On 1st May 2023 it showing me that we are reviewing your eligibility. Since then there's no changes in my application. Can anyone tell me how much time it will take for the decision. Is anyone received their SOWP Visa recently?

Depends where you live. Did you complete medical, biometrics, and background check?

My biometric and medical done on 12th April 2023. In my application it shows that you passed the medical and your biometric is done. Background check is under process. I applied from India.

Have you got your decision yet? I hope you have. If not, then all I can say is, there is no fixed timeline for SOWP decision (depends a lot on the SOP and other documents IRCC looks for). Me and my husband applied together (SP + SOWP). We received our PPR in 25 days from the submission of application. Considering your application date, you should receive a decision very soon. Have faith. I'm hoping you'll get a good news soon.

Our timeline; just for reference:
Applied: 2 May
Biometric: 9 May
Medical, BVL, PPR: 26 May

No. I didn't receive decision yet. But on their official website it showing me current timeline is 8 weeks. So I am waiting to complete my 8 weeks of application. Let's just hope for the best. Thank you

I have same timeline i.e.
Application submission date: April 18, 2023
Medical Pass: May 05, 2023
Eligibility review started May 17,2023
Status: in process

I have applied for Spousal Open Work permit on 31 August 2023. Biometric already updated On 16 September 2023 in status u pass medical exam Can anyone tell me how much time it will take for the decision. Is anyone received their SOWP Visa recently?

Look at IRCC processing times from country you are applying from.
