SOWP to Study Permit is possible?

Suppose, anyone in Canada on SOWP and wants to take up a course at University which is more than six months, then need to apply for study permit.

My question, is what will happen to work permit, will that be still valid? Suppose, someone takes 1 year program and work permit valid for 3 years, then how does this transition takes place?

1. The SOWP then becomes invalid. You should note that if your spouse goes from SOWP to SP you can't get a SOWP on the basis of her SP.
