Mine:- Applied on 22 Nov 2016 online from Canada(Inter Company Transfer) with upfront medical
Spouse:- Applied on 22 Nov 2016 online from Canada(Open Work Permit) with upfront medical

Hi,

Applied on the 3rd of November... For me and my spouse

Medical for both passed on 9th of November.

After that no more updates. Still waiting. I was supposed to join my office in Canada on the 16th of November. Guess that's not gonna happen!
So still waiting ever so patiently for a news.

Hi Joe,

In these forms I found out that on an average it is taking 40-50 days...hopefully you will get soon.

My joining date was Dec 5th but it didn't happen ... Is your application submitted online??? And have you applied from outside of Canada?

Hi Madhu,

Yes I applied online from China. I am an Indian working in China for the last few months.

I called IRCC sometime back and they mentioned that the applications made on the 24th of October are being processed at the moment. Nothing much came out of that phone call.

So here's me hoping for some kind of news

My friend applied on Nov 22 for Closed Work Permit and he got an email requesting for passport. Just 16 days!!!

Lucky guy! Did he do an online application? And I wonder if IRCC takes note of date of joining in the company mentioned on the LMIA? Thoughts?

Both our applications(Friend's and mine) are submitted on the same day. Difference is that he has no dependent accompanying him where I have SOWP along with mine. Joining date doesn't matter I guess, both our joining dates are same too

i have read your post.My husband is in ALBERTA.He is waiting for AINP.he has work permit till June 2017.hopefully he ll receive AINP in Januay 2017,so he has planned to extend his work permit.
I'm in India and i have 3 years experience in IT firm.
my question is,
*Am i eligible to apply SOWP,if it so what are the douments to be submitted?
*how long the processing time ?
*can i get the positive result ?
*do i need to show funds ? if it so how much ?
*can i apply once he receives AINP or now itself because he has work permit till June 2017
OR
after he receives extension of work permit only i can apply ?
