Dear Experts,

Situation is:
1. Landed : 18 Sep 2005 (PR Card expiring Oct 2010), Need to travel for Education (for 5 Days) to UK after PR Card expires
2. Total days in Canada until Jan 2010 = 52 Days
3. Settled in Canada in Jan 2010. No plan to go back.
4. Studdied at a university in Toronto (government institute) for 6 months.
5. Got a new child in Canada on June 14, 2010.
6. Total Days in Canada as per today = 271 Days (459 Days Short)

While Out of Canada:
1. Got a baby in Nov 2005, and sponsored him during my visits here in Canada. Took around 8 months.
2. Worked and supported my education in UK. Masters course started in Jan 2009 and completed (Basic modules) in Jan 2010. Then I came to Canada. Took some electives here and need to take last on back in UK after PR card expires, unfortunately.
3. Got a work in Canada after long efforts that suits my education but needs frequent traveling across US/Canada.
4. Worried about missing the job if unable to travel or take a chance to apply for PR Card Renewal? Am I inviting a trouble? Immigration and sponsoring process for my child took almost 8 months. Any leverage towards days counting? Spent a year in business school in UK. Couldn’t leave the education. Any soft edge? Must need the PR Card to catch up the job opportunity. Wish to apply on urgent basis backed with the Letter from UK University. (Last module is in Nov 2010). Wish to go for any possible way…Please advise…

Much appreciate for experts advice please!!
Warm Regards,
Token

I advise that you stay in Canada for the remainder of the time before you apply for your PR card renewal. You may be missing some job opportunities for the next 15 months but at least you will keep your PR.

Dear Leon, Thanks for your advice. But any alternate? What are chances for success if I apply?

Hi Leon, any experience with H&C basis PR renewal inspite of having less than 730days? What are the most common examples of H&C basis circumstances considered? Appreciate your response!!
Warm Regards

Look up the cases that went to appeal at http://www.canlii.org/en/ca/irb/index.html in the text search type residency obligation and humanitarian. You should get about 1900 cases.

Thanks PPM, Great Help. Shall study them in details...
Once again, thanks for posting the link.
