We have received our Permanent Resident Visas and are landing in toronto in April 2010.
Our 24 year old son is already working in Canada as a Customer Service Rep on a one year work visa which expires in September 2010.
He wants to stay and live in Canada. Is there any way that he can get Permanent Residency.

if he has been working for 2 year in Canada then he can apply for PR.

A customer services representative is not a skilled job unless he's a supervisor so that really limits his options. If he can get an LMO to get his work permit extended, that would buy him a little more time but as a low skilled worker (unless he's in a certain choice occupations in BC or AB) he will never gain the right to apply for his PR. If he were to get a skilled job or get promoted to a skilled position with his employer, that would help. Then he could apply under Canadian experience class after 2 years of work.

If he meets the requirements to apply as a skilled worker (67 points and at least one continuous year of skilled employment at some point), he could apply under category 3 once he's been working in Canada for a year.

You can not really sponsor him or do anything for him unless you end up living in MB, SK or AB. Then you would be able to apply to sponsor him under the provincial program family stream as long as other requirements are met, for example you need to have been living in the province for 1-2 years etc.

One option for him if he's on a working holiday visa (open work permit) would be to look at the low skilled programs in AB and BC and try to get a job in one of the qualifying occupations there. If he could get his work permit extended there with an LMO and convince an employer to apply for his immigration via PNP, he would be able to get PR. Getting the work permit extended would be necessary because he doesn't have enough time left as the low skilled occupations require the person to work for 6-9 months before they can be nominated and you have to stay with the employer until the processing is completed.
