I am a software engineer in Sri Lanka and I have a degree in Bsc. Information Technology. In order to begin my application process under Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), I must get an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) for my educational credentials. I'm a software engineer but by degree in Bsc. Information Technology. What is the best Organization to Assess my education ? I was planning to apply through WES. Please advise me.
One thing I noticed from forums is
"The engineering profession is regulated in Canada. It is illegal to practise as an engineer or to use the title "engineer" without being licensed as a professional engineer with a provincial or territorial association. "
I used academic-information-tool to recognize my qualifications but i couldn't.
Please advise me whether software engineers are recognize in Canada as engineers and do i need contact any organization for engineering licence procedure ?
