This thread is for the software engineers who has applied with postmarked 19th May 2009. As I believe so many H1 holders have applied on this day.
I have applied on 19th May 2009
Still did not receive any file number.
How about you?

I applied on 5/12 under 2174 and have not received the file number yet.

Thanks,

Thanks Canada77. How long they will take to just issue file number? It's really slow like tortoise. Well let's wait.

Honestly, I don't know when would that be. The only thing we can do is wait. Its been almost 6 months now.

biswas,

Was May 19th not the same day when AINP removed these NOC from their list ? I mean those meant for IT Professionals ?

I guess, its time now for you to email them and ask what the heck are they doing ? and did they remove you from their list ?

i think 19th May was the date for receipt of application at AINP office and not the post marked dated.

I think I should. They are supposed to accept application which was post marked 19th May 2009. That's what they mentioned in their website.
Thanks.

Guys, my wife is working on H1B Visa. She has Electronics & Telecommunications Engineering Drgree from India. However she is working in IT (not as a Manager). Could someone help me to figure out if she is eligible for AINP and if so what would be the appropriate NOCs that she may fall under? Appreciate your help.

Thanks
Tarun

Hi Tarun,

I would encourage you to read this link:

http://www.alberta-canada.com/immigration/immigrate/srsvisaholder.html

There is a link on this page to find out which NOCs are in pressure in AINP. If you find your wife's NOC (based on her job description), you can make a decision to apply under AINP-SRS

Hope this helps!
