Soft landing via air

Discussion in 'Settlement Issues' started by shailendra0407, Oct 18, 2019.

  1. Hi Guys! I’m planning to land in Canada via air at Toronto airport from New York early in the morning around 8 AM and fly to India the same night around 10 PM and have some queries regarding that.

    1. Do I have enough time to finish my paperwork?

    2. Can I be asked how long I am staying in Canada or about my travel plans?

    3. Is it going to be an issue if I mention that I’m leaving Canada the same night?

    4. Is it fine to give friend’s address to get the PR card delivered?

    5. I will be travelling with my passport, COPR and a luggage bag. What other documents should I carry with me?

    6. Any forms that I have to fill in advance?

    7. Can I apply for SIN on my next visit? As I have heard that the office is closed on weekends

    Thanks in advance!
  2. Yes
    Probably not
    Depends on the CBSA officer
  3. 5. Check cic link for list of documents to carry.
    6. No for soft landing

6.Maybe customs declaration and goods to follow ?
  5. Goods to follow are not to be followed for soft landing

Other forms like arrival form/customs declaration are provided in airplane and there is nothing that you can fill before that
  6. They are not always given in the airplane now, with computer kiosks at most airports.
