Hi Darwaish,

I agree with what Nashe told you. You need to start the process of getting your PCC from Japan ASAP! I know people, myself included, who are applying for FBI PCC over and over (cause it takes 6-12 weeks) just to have a fresh one when they ask for it. At the same time get in touch with London VO and let them know what is the situation and ask for extension. I would advise you to submit everything else they asked for ASAP.

As far as funds they ask for statements, and I agree with Nashe that that is quite normal request. However, they want to see that you had money set aside for at least 6 months to prevent fraud. The fact that you withdraw the money could be suspicious to them...I believe that liquid savings count as well, so you should definitely explain in a cover letter why did you withdraw the money and how do you plan to have the money with you when you leave for Canada.

Hope this helps and good luck!

~Ira

Thanx Ira, and well said about the explanation for the withdrawal of money, it will help VO understand that the amount was drawn for some urgent need and was updated again, after sometime.

Hi nashe

I think most of the ND VO members are moving ahead with the same pace....

and for applicants after november things are happening at maximum speed as the backlogs are cleared by the time.

Moreover my application is very simple in terms of the travel histoy abroad, PCC submitted with the applicn etc (I believe; it may wrong also)

Please share your undersataning on what to expect for Social workers at Canada? (in terms of finding out a right job, ... salary...living conditons etc...

Thanks n regards

Dear friends,

I am not in the favor of creating new threads, unless they are very important, but since i havent met a single applicant of NOC 4152 on the forum (even the statistics shows that 528 apllicant have already applied under this catagory). I just want to say," where are you guys"? :)

Please introduce your self, share your experiences of filling the application as well as current status, to have some good fellows of our NOC b4 we enter CANADA!

Hi Nashe and Ira.
Thanks a lot for your encouraging words and advice.

I have spent sometime reading about social work in Canada. I found this site very helpful:
http://www.workingincanada.gc.ca/report-eng.do?noc=4152&action=search_province. From this site, you choose any of the province that is of interest to you, there is info on wages, licensing, job postings, associations and unions etc.
I hope this helps. Good luck everyone!

Refer to this CIC website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp
I dont think you necessarily have to show funds from your home country ...i sent banks statements from 2 different countries especially as I dont' want the value of my money to depreciate cos of fluctuation in exchange rates.

Number of Family Members Funds Required
(in Canadian dollars)
1 $11,115
2 $13,837
3 $17,011
4 $20,654
5 $23,425
6 $26,419
7 or more $29,414

Hello Nashe and all colleagues,

I submit my application in CIO on 5th November 2010 and haven't got PER yet. My VO is Vienna.

I am waiting champion in our forum.

Viktoria
