Hi All,

In my passport I don't have a surname. I just have the "Given name". I had accordingly filled in the application for FSW when I applied. I wrote N/A for Surname and my given name in the Name section.

Now, on my Visa it says Surname/Given Names and it has Myname, XXX on it. Also, on the CPR form it has my name on the Surname field and the Given name is empty. Will there be any problem? I think that's how the Visa works. If there is no Surname in the passport then they put your name in the Surname, like FNU cases for US Visas.

What you guys think?

I have the same issue. Guess many Indian passports, especially South Indian ones, have the same. After doing much research on the net on this (I found out that FNU for US is best avoided and it's better to get it fixed before applying for visa), what I did was I split the two names into surname and given name myself when filling in the application forms. Did not get it corrected in passport. I got the medical forms with the names correctly split and hope to get the visa the same. In your case, I'm sure if there was a problem, they would've raised an objection and asked you to get it corrected. So, don't worry :)
