Hey buddy, if you have some personal concerns by releasing info, just don't worry about it. I was asking for the sake of other members, I hope I am already done with this stage with best wishes of all of you guys.. as I am waiting for PP. I know previously, I read here in forum that Visa officers from Delhi India visited 2 or 3 of applicant's work place.

If you are from a different visa office, then seems like they are now going to visit work places everywhere in near future, just my personal opinion.

P.S, you are here to seek help, so be helpful too :). Good luck with all your process.

Canadarace,

I second you...

My noc code is 0632, accomodation service manager, 3yrs experience in this company.

Today's afternoon, a visa officer with her translator came to the company.

First she talked with my recommender(Hr director) for around half a hour, mainly enquire about the concernings about my experience length, position and main duties.

My recommender laterly told me that he described my post as an assistant to Sale's director helping the director in managing the department and supervise sales managers in daily work. For the duties Hr director might have included 6 of all 7 duites according to Noc0632 description.

Later following Hr director, she came to my department office, found me easily(she must have seen my photo) and speak gently to me with a few questions below:

Q1, can I have your business card? A: They have been used up,I am sorry, I dont have any this time, new ones are under printing.
It's ok,she replied.

Q2, who is in this office?(she pointed at sale's director's office) A: the department director,my boss, do you want to have a talk with her? (Actually the director is my immediate supervisor, Hr has told her)
Not neccesarily, she replie

Q3, what is this officer for(pointed at reservation office) A: The reservation department.

Q4, what were you doing just now? A: Pricing.

Q5, are these people your colleagues, how many people are they? What are they?
A: Yes, around 10 persons, they are all sales managers.

Q6, picked up one reservation sheet and want to describe how I usually worked on it?
A: I described in detail, interestingly she occasionally pointed at some column on the paper and answering her questions herself for the questions she asked me justly.

Q7, is this all you work? (Pointing at the reservation sheet)
A: No, it is just part of my work.

The interview lasts around 5-10 minutes, the questions she asked me was not relevant to my position and main duties. Failure to provide a business card is the most pity in this interview,.

I want comments from you guys, if my performance has satisfied the officer. How the failure to provide a business card will affect my case, is it going to cause a big problem?what should I do next?

her dear can u plz tell me ur visa office (country)

It's so strange that a VO will go to someone's office to make enquiry. In case of a highly securitise office like the Printing & Minting (Those that mint money) she would not be allowed entrance.

However, why would she be looking at what you're doing and the kind of forms using? Imaging if you do not want your colleague to know about the immigration process.....

I think they should have done it like a formal correspodence.

they are trying to be too clever i think.....

Ok, I give up.

The visa office of my submission is Beijing office. My location is Shanghai, China.

In another forum, over 5 persons said that their offices were visited by visa officer in the recent 2 days. I think it is just an activity within China and has not became a common action for other contries.

My ecase at CIC is In process, however, with only 4 sentences after click on the stats, and has not revealed the date that the process has begun.

Hope that helps all of you.

It is true that there is a lot of fraud in China, maybe this is the answer to this. According to my opinion the trend of the anti-fraud cannot be turned in short run, and yes, I played a victim of it recently.

XYFZXW

Thanks for sharing this experience as there many of us who in the process of verification: My ex-employers have not been contacted yet, however, CIC has a way to check the info... I imagine...

Hi XYFZXW,
Were u informed earlier that VO will be visiting your work site. Or was it a surprise visit. I was just wondering what if the applicant is not in office when the VO visits and some else might just goof upm things.
