Sister applied in August to visit me (Canadian) but no updates

My sister and her family applied for a TRV to visit me in August.
The current processing time is 37 days for her country.
But there is still no update on the visa. She wanted to visit me during this holiday season but it doesn't look like it.
Is anyone else waiting for a long period for a TRV?
