Hello,
For applying for student nomination, do we need the following:
1. PGWP approved? It's in process- will it work
2. Job has to be in occupation related to education only? What if it is not in the same occupation. Can student apply under a different program?

When you get PGWP and work six months look at the skilled workers program. The job needs provincial approval.

Saskatchewan Graduate Temporary Measure(SGTM) does this program still qualify for students? Studied in Saskatchewan but job offer is not in the same profession as education.

The skilled job link is saying;

• Have a valid work permit under one of the following programs: Seasonal Agriculture Worker Program, International Experience Canada, or Temporary Foreign Worker Program.

Work permit is PGWP. It is not in this list

1. You need to be holding a PGWP. This means it needs to be already approved.
2. I'm not sure I understand this question. To qualify the job offer you have must be in the same field that you completed your studies in while in Canada. If it's in a different field, then you won't qualify unfortunately.

I thought this program closed in December last year.

Temporary program during Covid that ended in December 2021.
