Hello Experts,

I am from 4th October SINP OID batch and got invitation on 15th Nov 2016.

I just got an mail today from CIC that they have received my paper based application and also provided application number and UCI number.

I am not sure if this is AOR because someone told me that it will comes as a PDF file. I don't know.. If this mail from CIC means AOR, please also let me know the further steps. What are the further steps taken by CIC?

I have got AOR 3rd March 2017 but I didn't get FT mail yet, anybody get FT mail who got AOR March 2017 .

I want to ask a question, what is Upfront Medical and how people submit this in case of OID as its not mentioned in the checklist?

As per my knowledge people i'll get medical request and then applicant has to book his/her medical from the list of doctors provided and doctor(staff at their end) sends the medical result to the respective Visa office or CIC.

Even I have read from the forums some people got theri medical certificate no. and update the same through Case specific inquiry.

and even people are also paying RPRF fees without request and submitting the same with CSE.

Just want to confirm are this acceptable?

upfront medical usually done by EE applicant as they expect PPR not beyond 1 year validity.. YOU MUST LAND in Canada before the expiry of your medical otherwise you will conduct again..

for OID it is not recommended for we don't know when is the PPR , some took 16-18 months only from AOR2 to MR and so the medical comes expired..


In anyway you can do the upfront medical.. go to approved clinic hospital and do the IME.. then the doctor will send it to CIC with IME specific number... the said IME will be then included in your application.. but then again.. it is not recommended.. and the reason is as per above..
