Hi,
I have a doctorate in physics and have been doing physics, data analysis, modeling, etc., for the last ten years in India and with a stay in EU. I recently got an invitation for SINP PNP and applied under NOC 21211(Data Scientist). Being a data scientist and physicist(theoretical) is almost same; however, I have included in my reference letter the duties of a data scientist as my major duties assigned by my past employers. In fact, my last job was 2.5 years of being a Data scientist.
Will this grey area affect my application?
Any experiences to share?

What do you mean by gray area? You worked on what you declared or not, the immigration officer will take into consideration the documents that you present and will assess your profile based on that. They would even call your last employer to check veracity of letter. Be careful and do not think about misrepresenting any info as they will certainly find out

Its not about misrepresenting but what I understood, he wanted to know whether with a job that has similar responsibilities but a different NOC from the one he declared NOC in his SINP profile, would he still be able to get the required points or not.
