Here's a real one
Application type = Paper (it sucks).
Application filed = Jan 4, 2012.
Category = Existing work permit category (i.e. students/hospitality/health profession/long haul truckers or so)
File number received = Feb 20, 2012.
Application status = under process.
Document request/inquiry = None.
Follow ups = 1 time (May 3rd week, 2012) by email for status, said its under process.

Please dont put any trash things nobody interested in. Its all about DATES! Of course you can share any news(except about IELTS)/special cases everyone would like reading. Best of Luck if you havent filed SINP yet. Be quick!

I also filed SINP skilled worker in Aug 2012.
This month (Nov'12) myapplication status changed from submitted to recieved.Now waiting for starting "in process".
I think complete nomination process takes at least 8 month.

I pray for you that you get the nomination in 8 months but as far as REAL SCENARIO is concern expect 16-18 months for nomination

my case went online in March 2012 and status changed from "received" to " in process" in September 2012, ( took 6 months )

8 months passed now, i did not hear anything so far from SINP people

I also know couple of people in Pakistan ( skilled worker category) who applied in Aug, & Oct last year ( i.e. 2012) and have not received Nomination, they are still waiting

so in short we all have plenty of other important things in life we can and we should focus besides counting days and weeks and months for nomination

July 2012 = Visited SINP office in Regina to follow-up and was told that application was in the middle of processing
November 28, 2012 = Received email to inform about the missing/incomplete documents and instructed to submit within 45 days
December 1, 2012 = Visited SINP office again to personally bring the documents

I am a tourist right now and have just extended my stay while waiting for the nomination so that I can change my status and start working. Does anyone have any idea how long will it take after complying/submitting other needed documents? Please advice how to proceed in this matter.

My Timeline is as follows:

Application type = Paper
Application filed = Sept 6, 2012.
Category = Skilled Worker Category
File number received = Sept 18, 2012.
Application status = under process. That is what the SINP Rep told me when I inquired couple of weeks back.
Document request/inquiry = None so far
Follow ups = 1 time (Jan 1st week, 2013) by phone and the rep said its under process.

I am praying to get my case moving and getting nomination sooner.

my status is still in process ( SINP Skilled Worker)
applied file in March 2012 and received acknowledgement in March 2012
my status changed from "application received" to "in process" in last week of September 2012 .......YES after 6 MONTHS my status changed from application received" to "in process"

since then I have not heard anything so far not even for additional document request nothing at all frankly ;D

and I also never inquired from SINP people by email or phone regarding my status

so in March 2013 my application has its 1st birthday

Hi everyone!!!!

1. Applied Sept. 2011 under SINP Family Category with the sponsorship of my husband's cousin in SK.

2.After 1 wk of submission, filed number recieved.

3. Stiil waiting for the nomination..GOD willing!!! this will be our 17th months of waiting...
Hopefully good news will be on our way!!!!

Hi all! Just to give an update & good news! I received my nomination last January 11 after I have submitted the missing and incomplete documents. The nomination is requiring me to immediately begin my employment with the one who sponsored me in SINP Skilled Worker category. It took me about one year and 6 days to get nominated.

I spoke to SINP rep yesterday and she mentioned that practically it should take between 8-9 months for Skilled Worker Applicants. She mentioned that the file goes through various stages and the process goes through in a phased manner and they do not keep a file idle for 6 - 7 months and then process it at one go.

She mentioned that the file goes through various stages and the process goes through in a phased manner and they do not keep a file idle for 6 - 7 months and then process it at one go.
