@ Point_mukos
That's great ! Enjoy their waiting game. For my personal matter, I am waiting to get visa but I am so boring.
Look at the processing time in Asia and other areas, processing time at SGVO is one of some the longest waiting... Although SGVO covers 11 countries but the annually targeted immigrant is very low vs China, India,Hongkong, Philippines...

Hi boogz,

Tnx sa advice mo sa akin, with it, I was able to read SGVO thread.Six years na ako ngwowork sa Thailand as non-immigrant visa at umuuwi ako sa atin every year.Do you think pwede payagan nila akong pumili ng visa office which is Pinas na lang?

If sa SGVO ang gusto nila,di na qualified ang edad ko sa tagal ba naman ng process nila.
Thanks much.

Hi Goring, I am not sure on recent applications if you can choose the visa office when you submit your application. But given a chance, definitely choose Manila for faster processing time.

Hi Goring, i believe it depends with the officer that may received your documents from CIO-NS because you are currently residing in Thailand as they opt to forward all documents/applications to the particular responsible VO.

As it seems, in my application i indicated Manila as my visa office, however, they chose to forward my documents to SGVO for further process. And since i am no longer working in Singapore, so i decided to wrote SGVO to request for file transfer but have not received any reply till to date. I dont understand why SGVO processing is so stagnant.

The good news is, a few applicants managed to get their application transferred to Manila VO.

Good luck!

Hi,

Thank you so much for the info without this forum I wouldn't know about Singapore Office.I will keep in touch this week to the Canadian Embassy(Thailand) and ask if I can choose or request Manila as my visa office.
I hope Singapore will improve their services because applications are online already.
Wishing you all for fast processing of your applications.

nusrat, my status is the same as yours still =(

point_mukos>> welcome to join us in this long queue =)

anyway, i found out that Miss Heather Grant is the current High Commissioner of Canada to Singapore and was wondering if that might be the reason why the delays are getting longer and longer since she joined in 2012. Previously, applicants do not have to wait so long pre-2012. sigh....they really need to know that our plans and dreams are disrupted with such a long wait. The visa office should actually address the issue and provide a projected dateline for each application.

why is Singapore office currentluy the slowest processing office? If the backlog is hard to manage, maybe they might like to hire more manpower or distribute the workload to other visa office?

@ kaisin My lesson is that forget them and we do our current works! As I said in the last message their annually visa target is the lowest in Asia but their processing time is the longest. But point_mukos is happy about that. He really waits up to 100 month processing time !
@ point_mukos Notes that SGVO has refused visa about 1/3 annually
