Hi guys, we have just landed last 17th of October and our point of entry was Toronto then we took domestic flight to St. John, New Brunswick. Everything went smoothly, they just asked how much money we've got but they did not ask for proof. Custom did not even asked for our list of goods accompanying, they just asked if we have goods to follow but since we don't have any we don't have to produce ant list.

Temperature in New Brunswick now is just 5deg so we can't go out without winter suit. We have done SIN, Medicare and CCTB application. I'll start hunting for job next week and hope to find one before our savings run out.

Congrats Garu! So at last you decided not to ship your stuff to Canada? Is it the shipping fees is very expensive?

Taivoi, just look back for a while. You waited 17 months, hard waiting is done. Now its God's call. 1/2 months more is nothing for sgvo applicants to wait. I hope u get complete b4 Christmas.

10000 cad should be ur fund as a pnp nominee at the port of entry. If u have a job offer then its not that much necessary. Still u need to show a decent amount.

Thanks, but what if my country has a currency restriction to bring out of the country the maximum of $5000/per person and I'm landing alone? is $5,000 sufficient as proof of landing fund? thanks

Good to see that u e finally reached to finish line. Can u share which country u r from, and why cic chose Singapore as VO office. I m from India and currently working in Malaysia. As Malaysia doesn't have any VO and nearest us Singapore so is that my file will be processed in Singapore or India. I want to write them for not allocating Singapore as many people already waiting since more than 10 months. I m in FSW backlog pilot program...

Hi Garu, glad to hear that you had a smooth landing process, I plan to land next month as well, did you land alone? If you don't mind, may I ask did you bring cash or bank draft for proof of landing funds? and how much would be safe for 1 person? thanks
