Thanks you very much. So it means they are going to review the tax return for 2013. Its makes me worried coz in GCMS report showed they marked low income as I am a student.
Where is low income in GCMS note ?

Assessment part of the sponsor had completed in Missisauaga before forwording the file to SVO and in SVO they will assess the Visa Applicant only, not the sponsor.

While assessing the Sponsor CIC Missisauga can only disqualify sponsor on income ground if he collects welfare other than diability.

So you need not worry at all. CIC goes by laws in Canada, not like Bangladesh.

When you contacted your MP, how long did it take him/her to take action and force CIC to give you an update?
My husband spoke to his MP in person in Feb 2014 and their action was pretty quick. MP contacted CIC the next few days to find out my application status. CIC commented that my application remains in queue for initial review and recommended him to do a follow up after 4 months.

Yes we went to dhl as well and they said they couldn't do prepaid so we decided to try fedex. You have to register and have a credit card put on file so they can charge it when other people send to your address. It's free to sign up, ( at least in Thailand anyway) we got a membership and that's how we were able to send a prepaid envelope... Actually it's not prepaid they just charge my credit card when they send it out. We were lucky because we met the manager and he has done it before and has dealt with the Singapore office too! So he told us exactly what to do.

I believe that fedex is the only courtier that supplies this option in Asia. I may be wrong but unfortunately we live in ubon which is a province next to lao so we had to go to Bangkok to send it and sign up because fedex service isn't offered to send here only to receive :(.

Sammikens, do you recall which fed-ex office you used ? And do you know if it's possible or makes a difference to use a company account? (My wife's work, in Bangkok). We are months, maybe even years away from this step, but helps us plan ahead.
I hope this helps

Mikeymyke, I think it would be a good idea to introduce yourself to your local MP. Make an appointment, and after dealing with the assistant, request a sit down? By the time you will meet, you will have your SA, but will set things in place easier if there are more delays down the road. And seeing this is somewhat of a bad start, it's best to prepare now for things to get worse. Also, after SA, do try for TRV. We will compare and help each-other.
Cheers,

Hello, koifish

We used the one in Siam square. If you look it up on google you can find it on their maps application and it brings you to their front door :) you just hav to explain to them what you want to do and if you get someone at the counter who doesn't completely understand what you want to do you just ask to speak to the manager and politely tell them that this issue is very important and you don't want to make any mistakes cause it can cost you. They usually understand and are very helpful :) it tools is about 2 hours to register because you have to go through all these steps especially since my card was Canadian and it was my husband who went to the fedex office so they were a bit confused. Anyway I suggest you make a memebership now just incase so when you have to send it it's easier and you don't have to wait :)

I'm actually not sure about a company account. If it's your home address the only problem I can think of is it's not your name on it it will be the companies and Singapore might cause a problem with this tiny issue. If it's not your home address I doubt they will send it because the package will have your passport in it so I believe they will refrain from sending it because of a liability issue. I'm sure if you talk to fedex they might say the same thing but no harm in asking right!

Thanks for reply. I am sponsor for my wife. Our GCMS report is about 30 pages; at the end its reported by the officer at Singapore (I am student and getting scholarship). Actually I am worried when I saw that note as well as my wife's heath report description. <<Description: has a condition for which the degree of risk to public health is not sufficient to exclude admission (see page 610)>>.<<Screening report: Sponsor has low income>>

Can't believe it's that complicated! I thought it would be as easy as buying and sending a prepaid Xpress Post envelope :(

Yes, sadly to say this. :( I have been waited for more than 9 months now and moreover my medical report already passed 1 year. I would expect to do health check again. :-[

Its been two months, two days and some hours, since I sent my passport to Singapore. No decision made and no reply to the email sent either. Checked my spam and everything no communication was made from their part.

If I only knew this would happen I would start celebrating monthly anniversaries. Let's hope the next week will be our week, I am starting to get frustrated.

I would contact your MP to find out what the hold up is
It shouldn't take that long
Are you 100% certain they received the passport?

Thanks for the reply. I am certain they received the passport as it shows on my vfs tracking that SVO received it on March 10. Till date no decision made or any update on the ecas nor on the vfs tracking site. I will wait this coming week if nothing happens, then I am contacting the MP or whoever needs to be contacted. Anyone else on the same boat?

@timeline I am in the same boat, not as long as you but we have been waiting 1 month. Going crazy :( I'm contacting my local MP tomorrow as the email they sent me clearly states "plz allow up to 28 days for printing and issuing the passport"
