How long did it take for the system to change to passport received after you sent your passport? We sent my wife's passport to Singapore which apparently arrived on February 26 (according to the tracking service provided by Thailand Post). However, nothing on the immigration system has changed yet.

We were not asked to send re-medical or police checks. The letter simply said "we are now ready to issue your visa, please send your passport with Appendix A". So, that's what we did. They said to wait up to 30 days for processing the visa. So, we are nearing 2 weeks of waiting now. However, there has been no confirmation from the High Commission that they have received the passport. I imagine we will hear something soon, however, the anticipation is incredible.
he sent it on the 4th and VFS showing on the 6th march singapore visa office has recied his passport.

Grrrrrrrrr this is news......!

My wife expects to send her passport to Singapore within 1 to 2 weeks......does that mean we should hold off sending it...?
Don't think you should hold it off. If you have already recieved instructions to submit the passport, imo just send it. Besides, it's not like they will reject and send the passports back to us. I rather they keep it and when systems are done updating I am sure they will look at the passports that have been submitted. I sent it on the 6th though.

@Thanh245 I believe once the status changes to "in process" the interview is waived. This is what I got from all the threads I've read but I'm not 100% on that.

@cdnmom I hope your right! Thanks for the positive support! This is so much harder than I thought

I was just wondering does ECAS update receiving of 2nd medical info i mean re-medical result info?

Applicant who has done re-medical previously did you see any update in ECAS? if answer is YES then usually how long it takes to update the ECAS with receiving of re-medical info?

I asked this same question before but no one replied.

Hi guys! Just a quick update of my case.

My file went to "in process" on Dec 9 2013 and I was requested for 2nd medical exam on Dec 10 2013. As I have been in Canada on visitor's visa since June 2013, I did the re-medical exam in Canada on Dec 17 2013. And today Mar 10 2014 I was requested to submit my passport along with 2 photos to CPP-Ottawa, instead of Singapore office. There is no new police check being requested although I have been in Canada for more than 6 months and my Vietnamese police check expires long time ago.

I think Singapore office is changing their system as I think I'm the first ever outland applicant to be requested to send passport to CPP-Ottawa.

I am really surprised to see that someone "maronvomra" from Bangladesh who applied only in 09/2013, already has their passport request. I am happy it all worked out for them and all, but this is really very unfair for those who have applied much earlier. My spouse is also from Bangladesh. My file was received at Singapore VO at 09/02/2013, as I applied in July 31, 2013. And still it shows up as "Application Received". I do not understand why is such discrimination? How can I find out what is going on with my file? Who can I contact to get file file moving?? Its just so depressing and saddening to see such things.

Hi everyone,

After waiting for 15 months, today I finally received a news from Singapore. It was my proof of relationship to sponsor's documents, along with instructions to do medical exam and obtain a police certificate and submit them in 60 days. The instruction said I have to do them in my home country. The problem is, I'm now in Canada and only plan to go back to my country in May 2014. I'm not sure if everyone received different instruction from Singapore because I read that some of you did the medical in Canada, but is it okay for me to do med exam and police certificate here in Canada despite the instruction asked me to do them in my home country? Also, which address to send the documents to, the One George Street or Robinson Road?
Any response regarding this matter will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

PS: my application status changed to "in process" on Feb 24, 2014.

Hi arefinster,
I applied since November 2012 and just heard from Singapore office today. I just stopped going to cic website to check on my application status after a while because you are right it's depressing. So, don't give up hope. You'll get there eventually.

Best of luck

Wait six weeks after re-med then send in the passport. That was the instruction my wife received from CIC.

In the instruction I just received today, there's no mention of when to submit the passport. There is, however instruction for my sponsor to contact the CPC Mississauga to submit the Right of Permanent Residence Fee. At the end of the instruction, printed in bold says Please do not submit your passport until your sponsor has paid the RPRF in Canada.
