Hmm strange...so they're not consistent in updating eCAS then. Very coincidentally, 3 things happened on the same day to my wife: (1) Her eCAS changed to "In Process" (2) Her re-medical got processed (3) She got PPR through snail mail.

By the way, you once mentioned that you emailed Singapore to inquire about your passport. Did you send the email through the contact form, or to their email address?
We've sent them at different times through the contact form, the email address, and the general embassy email address, which forwarded it to the visa section as an urgent inquiry. Nothing back, no change, no info. My wife has to travel in a week, luckily within the country. Thank god we have a few months before we are planning to go to Canada, and that there is no urgent situation that she needs her passport for.

It says in the passport request that you should allow 30 days for processing....
Yup, that's the 'minimum' it seems, although most seem to go faster. We're on day 50 since they received it. Hope you have better luck!

Didn't you see the same update once your file was transferred to SVO? Or you just first saw this update after doing re-medical. When did u do your re-medical?

Ours were signed for by "Mabel." Hopefully she knows what she's doing. Almost two months now, passport not returned, status on eCas still "application received," no answers to our emails. Hope you have better luck with "Preethi."
That seems very odd indeed. Have you tried contacting your MP's office to find out what's happening?

Once you mail your passport to Singapore (and they receive it), how long on average do most get their passports back? They say to wait up to 30 days but I've heard of longer times. There was no re-medical or re-police checks. Furthermore, does anyone know whether the 30 day wait period in inclusive of postage travel time or not?

Thanks
At the IOM office staff said passport is returned in 2-6 weeks. We got ours in 2. Before you think that's lucky keep in mind it took 2 1/2 years to process our straightforward no red flags and interview waived application.

I wish someone could answeIt's true that they cannot speed up your applicationr this. The spreadsheet seems to suggest a month or less but that is not our experience...
Cangguru 50 days is really too long. This is exactly when you contact your MP and explain the situation. They can call and talk to your VO directly to find out what's going on. My MP saved us big time when our CIC typoed my husbands email with the remed and ppr. Instead of checking the address when it bounced back to them, they sent it by snail mail. That letter never arrived to this day. My MP's constituency worker found out what happened, and had them re email the requests to the correct address, the one they had on file all along. I would never have known anything of it and who knows the delay had I not contacted his office.

Is their anyone who asked for help from the local MP.because me and my husband want to contacted a MP.Do they really help us in the processing time or it might be risky and i am also applied in dec 12 since then no response from CO.
You will not get any help from your MP at this juncture as you are still within the processing time. As mentioned by someone else they cannot speed up processing time. Those days are long gone. The only thing that's risky about it is annoying youe MP so they're less likely to help you when you really need it. It should be a last resort when you really need it. What you want to do is order your GMCS notes. It costs $5 and takes 30 calendar days. There is a link on the CIC website. You will be able to see what your VO has written on your file and where your file is at from those.

So do we wait for about 6 weeks after Singapore received the applicant's passport then? In other words, if there's still no news 6 weeks after they got the passport, we should contact the MP to find out what happened?

i.e: my wife's passport arrived at Singapore CHC on 12 March. 6 weeks after that is 23 April, and if she still hasn't got it back by then, I should then contact my MP?

If you send your stuff by courier (such as DHL, FedEx, or UPS), you can input your tracking number to their website (fedex.com, dhl.com, ups.com, etc), and after the package has been delivered, the site will show you the signature and name of the person who signed for your package. Usually there's a few hours delay (since the package got delivered) before you can see who accepted the package.
