did u received any documents returned or Letter from them since files transfered to SVO?

I guess the least we could do is go to the MP and complain about this slow VO.

Hi Rosindo

I am sorry to hear that your application sat in stage 1 for 10 months :(
Hopefully they will fast track you now that it is in Singapore....

Hi cdnmom,

Thanks. I wish they would. Although after reading other posts about how painfully slow the SVO is, I don't have too much expectation. I only wish the CIC would grant me with visitor extension so that I could stay with my husband longer. Best of luck with your application as well :)

Hi Rosindo
When does your tourist visa expire?
You can submit the extension online... and you are good until you hear back from them
From my understanding most extensions are approved while you wait out the process :)
We rec'd a 1 year extension on our tourist visa

My visa will expire on November 28th. I submitted my application online 3 weeks ago. Had to undergo another medical exam since my last medical for PR was over a year ago. How long is the minimum stay granted for the extension?

Excellent :)

You should expect to receive an extension for 12 months... that is what we received

Hi Rosindo and Cndmom,

I see you have and/or are applying for extension visitor visa. Can I ask you about the procedure to apply for one (i.e. when should I apply for a visitor visa since I've just submitted my sponsorship application 2 months ago and got the sponsor approval? What are the supporting documents do I need to get the visitor visa? Is there any advice you can give me about the application? Will my sponsor application get delayed if i get rejected on the visitor visa?). I'm trying to gather as much info as I can before I get my application started. Any input you can give me is greatly appreciated.

Diyabrar and littlestar,
both of your timeline scares me. I hope no one goes through what you guys are going through. Wish you all the best.
