Thanks to all of you for your kind words and prayers! Alhumdalilah after waiting 10 years and going through many obstacles with Canadian Immigration.....My husband finally has his passport in hand with VISA.
It took 3 days to come from Singapore through VFS.
Inshallah we will move to Canada soon!
We will keep you in our duas and inshallah you will all here something in the near future!

Finally, settling down! Great to hear your good news. Congratulations! It just took 3 days to arrive the passport to VFS !! By the way, you said after waiting 10 years.....but your timeline mentioned that you applied in April 2012. I probably missed something in connecting your story. Anyway, good luck. I would like to request you to share your experience (a part of it which you could reveal merely) in the forum a little more, so that some forum members can be benefited. Thanks in advance. Anyone know how long I can take vacation once I apply for my spouses PR like is it ok if I go for a vacation back home for 3-4 weeks?

And where will I find the excel sheet which tracks the applicants status who applied from Quebec like first apply for sponsorship then CSQ and all?

I am also from Quebec , but u can join in Singapore sheet , Here is more helpful than Quebec, and there is no much different between Quebec Excel sheet and Singapore Excel sheet.

Yes, it is OK to take 3-4 weeks vacation.

There is a link for applications for Singapore Visa Office but I am not sure about Quebec applicants. May be you can search the forum.

One more question, the wedding/reception/honeymoon photos, do I need to mark them all like who is who in the photos or just giving the photos will suffice?

Just back side of the photo write these information : Date- occasion- people in the photo, no need to mention the name just relationship to you like uncle-aunt would be enough

I got Passport request by mail few days back. It came in after the re-medical instruction by e-mail. However, the visa office asked that the Passport be sent 6 weeks after the re-medical is done. My wife did the re-medical only over a week ago.

You can write as David says. In my case though, I sent only 12 pictures and I didn't write anything in the back. I just put the pictures in marked envelopes 'Wedding pictures', 'Reception pictures', 'Travel pictures' etc.

I am not suggesting sent 12 pictures. Sent as many as you like but make sure they are in different circumstances and that their are other people around you (not only you two!).

Just got a email request from Singapore to send a new police and medical certificates because they were done over 12 months ago. I wish that is a good news, we already been waiting for 21 months since we sent the papers. My wife is with me on a TRV and just hope that that everything will be done before she goes back home in october.

It is an absolute shame that though u didnt have to go through interview process still for no reason ur file took this look....16 months in singapore just to go in process ...

So unpredictable....i can bet on my life that ur visa officer was just lazy..if it was some visa officer ur other half would be in canada by now...

We got the Passport request by mail few days ago. About 10 days after re-medical instruction came in by e-mail. But note that they asked us to send Passport after 6 weeks. No instruction for Police Certificate.
