Thank you, yes its been quite a while, i dont get it why somepeople gets within 2weeks while some few more weeks. I wish they can have a fix amount of time to send back passport, not fair. : well hope it will come by the end of this month. goodluck and dont forget to share when she gets it

Applied as spouse visa from Canada:07-11-2012
Cic Received our file:12-11-2012
Approved for sponsor :22-11-2012
Application received and medical result received by singapore:26-11-2012

Now my question is:my file supposed to come in uk as I m in uk or not?from when my file received by Singapore cic my online status always shows that :application received and medical have been received.whats the next step should be?and if they call me from interview it's gonna be for bangladesh or uk?
Please anyone help me....I m really worried..it's just killing me...

Hi welcome to the forum,your processing was pretty quick for the first step! i dont know the answer of your question but mysellf i dont understand why your file went to singapore when you live in uk your file should be sent to london visa office i guess. maybe cic made an error and sent tothe wrong office or something. I am just giving my opinion i might be wrong hope someone can clarify things for you. You may wanna ask your husband to call cic to find out.

Uk is not country of residence so you file went to Singapore and it is in correct visa office.
You must provide UK PCC
If you have UK permanent resident then London is visa office

Dhaka always and if they ask for interview you will notify one month before.

As you will notice, most of us here are the Sponsor. But it seems you are the Sponsored Person. Is your Hubby in this forum ;D

If your Sponsor put Singapore as the Visa Office in the Application Form, then Singapore Visa office most likely will have the Application. You will be notified through mail or e-mail if the Visa Office needs any documents from you. Also, when the file goes in process, it may show up in ECAS (online). At present, on average it seems you may not receive any notice before 6 months after Singapore has received your file. However, miracle has happened and we will look forward for one 8)

No my hubby is nt in ths forum.and as far i know I dnt think so there is any option to select visa office..I think the reason whythey send Singapore cz my passport is bangladeshi passport ..though I m in uk for 5 years but they need to check my background so obviously it need to to go Singapore.. So it's ok...
But I m worried that its been almost 3months since I applied but my status in e-case is never changed yet..I dnt knw how long more I ve to wait for get any response from them...it's really hard time for me

Yes, there is a place in the Form where you have to write down which Visa Office will process your application. Although, if one writes down the wrong Visa office, the processing gets delayed. Even though, CIC will decide which visa office your application eventually will be sent to, initially it is an item to be filled-up by the applicant/ sponsor.

If you have lived in UK legally for 5 years, I think, it would have been ok to choose London as your Visa Office. However, I am not sure about this.

Anyway, for Singapore Visa Office, it is a long wait. You can check how many months other members have been waiting by clicking on the link that you will find under the posting of a member here named Shiny88. My file was transferred to Singapore one month before your's and I am also waiting.

i hope your are all remaining positive today as we await this ridiculous process! i have a question about the interview. What happens if they call for an interview and my husband and I are visiting in Canada for an undetermined length of time? would they do the interview in Canada instead? or would they expect us to come all the way to Singapore?

Hi Everybody!

I have 2 pieces of great news to share with everybody here..

My tourist visa application got approved - and now i have a visa stamp allowing entry at any time till July! Lots of thanks to everybody in this forum and specifically BP832 and eludor - who took the time out to answer my many questions about the TRV..

Secondly, the PR application also went in process. Logged in to CIC and it shows "We started processing your application on January 17th".

Very happy today
