You got it....... Congratulations :)
Thank you Ali. I hope home address showing means I got the visa stamped on my pp. Kurt hasn't mentioned anything about showing 'decision made' on e-cas, so I'm worried it may take long for my one too.... :-[

NOOOO!!!

They asked my wife to do a chest x-ray for the medical extension. She has an appointment tomorrow with her DMP at IOM to do her chest x-ray. Does this mean I have to wait another 4-6 weeks + 1 week it takes for IOM to forward the x-rays????
So this is same like doing re-medical, with longer time!! If they send the remed request along with the ppr request at the first place that could have save some time,

did they inform by email about the x-ray request ?

Thank you. Btw, are you in spouse visa category? You got the ppr way to fast mashaAllah.
Spouse category but under economic class (we did submit same forms and docs as spouse visa category). If you see the datasheet of CIC for year 2012, you'll find out 20% of cases is done by 8 months from SVO. Most of them don't write in this forum so we don't know.

The request was sent to IOM via mail. Yeah, maybe a re-med would have been better. But really, all they're asking for is an x-ray, which means my wife's medical has been extended pending an x-ray. And I am sure my wife's police check would have cleared in the mean time. Hopefully, they will look at my case faster, but god knows...

Anyways, just hoping for the best...

btw, congrats lightbd!

Hi zihobar: What does "Spouse category but under economic class" mean? Does this mean your spouse has employment offer from Canadian employer? Please let us know. Thank you for your time.

To eludor, I am planning to apply for temporary visit or tourist Visa. Please share your experience for a successfull visit Visa Application. Does your spouse has a strong job background? I mean what are the 'ties' (to return to home country) did you show in your application? Please share a bit. Thanks.

Dear All,

I am doing my Bachelor degree but haven't completed my final exam yet.

1. Now, what to write in the form IMM0008 in highest level of education?
-Post Secondary-no degree
or
-Post Graduate-no degree
(Might be this is a silly question!!)

2. I completed 14+ yrs of education. What to write in numbers of education in total (14 or 15)?

Thanks,

Aiisha

Hey Aiisha,

You would write post-secondary - no degree.

Post-graduate would be after completing your bachelor's and completing further education.

Hey Aiisha,

I leave no degree. Forms should already indicate you are going to school. You can write a separate note and attach it to the form indicating that you are just about to complete your degree and sign the form. Couldn't hurt.

Thank you Kurt and Thepie. I submitted my passport on 25th Sept in a VFS centre in Bangladesh but SVO received it on 3rd Oct,2012.

Anyways guys, I'm so worried now because VFS e-mailed me today that my processed permanent residency application has been sent to Dhaka centre from Singapore today. However, after receiving the e-mail when I checked my e-cas it still says 'in process' though it shows my 'home address' as Canada!

What does that mean? I'm totally baffled ???, I mean is it showing 'in process' because they didn't update their website yet or is it because I didn't get the visa???!!
