Please correct me if I'm wrong. When SVO places your case on interview queue, they will not email that decision. They just return all evidences and interview letter by regular mail. But they will email you the further information for interview date. Who knows what date they are going to contact us for that A few months? A year?

I've seen many people get the interview request letter through email.

That is why I asked.

I saw one person get the letter and have the interview date set within a couple months.

Did you only send pics and communication as your proofs?

Start collecting and creating more proofs now. Update your cra account and show your status/husbands name. Maybe get some term life insurance and name him beneficiary. Save wedding invitations and take lots of pictures on your upcoming trip. Passport stamps and boarding passes. Add him as an authorized user on your credit card.

Yes, only pics and communication along with the basic marriage cert and stuff they asked for. When I filed my taxes this year I had to change my marital status and had to enter his name as well. Please consider:

1) If you have FaceBook, keep posting joint photos
2) Keep proofs of exchanging gifts, payments
3) Joint accounts, cards etc.
4) Screen shots of chat logs, video calls

BTW you can mail them additional proofs before interview. There is no harm.

What I did was log onto cra online account and take a screenshot of the marital status. It will show the first name of your spouse.

My first GCMS notes showed that my eligibility "recommended passed " meaning no interview needed.

Second notes came out after couple of months, "recommended interview"

After that I never received any correspondence indicating that interview is forthcoming.

In mid of April, 2016 SVO suddenly emailed me with an interview date on May 08, 2016!

Hassan's advice is very good, and actually the link to the thread I gave you is his thread about interview preparation.

Social media is very good proof. It shows the VO that your relationship is public and known to everyone in your life. Do post many things on Facebook and take screenshots of family and friends commenting and liking the posts.

We sent over 40 pages of public interaction on Facebook with our application.

@Hasan - congratulations!!!!!!! if you are sending passport through dhaka vfs, have a photocopy of your passport with you. otherwise you will have to lineup in the queue twice

That's a great idea. I never thought to do that even though we have everything listed and posted on Facebook! Lots of comments from our friends and family as well

I sent in a few attachments with a case specific enquiry for additional proof. And, before I could send them out physically, I received an email saying they are sending my documents back from original application. So, I never ended up sending them.

Received my first GCMS notes today. Recommended WAV since December. That was the last note along with details of our case. Then there was one other note mentioning the MP inquiry. Our chat logs were shredded even before file was transferred to SVO.
