Hey guys,

So somewhat bad but not so bad news on our end. My husband got an interview request in the mail today, they returned all documents. No emails though. Just a later stating we're on the interview list and to wait for further instructions. It sucks but at least we know our file has/will be worked on. I'm seeing him in about a week so i'm hoping the interview will be sometime in July but who knows when it could be right?. Anyway, just wante to update you guys talk soon!

I haven't received my notes yet, so still unsure. My hunch is that we got married very soon after meeting (6 months) and only had a small ceremony and spent time for a week. I sent all the pictures we had, correspondence and such but I guess it wasn't enough.

Ames sorry for u, but atleast they are working on ur application. bt its making me angry , if they intend to call an interview why so late? if they needed any additional docs they wud ask. i donno why asking for interview. i just feeling doomed about hearing those interview cases. BTW Hasan9999 got his PPR after long 3 yrs atleast a good news

Sorry to hear that ames But as you said it's not a bad news on our end because we have one more chance on interview date
I booked the ticket already and will fly to Vietnam to see my husband at the end of this August for 10 days. We make a list of possible questions which visa officer might ask and ...just pray

you guys have all been such a huge support! thunderbay_vn, do you have an interview date yet? and i agree with jupiter16, why wait so long, or at least ask for additional documentation like ongoing communication. Oh well, it's done now, at least something is happening

So no email? Is your husbands preferred method of correspondence through email? Is your ECAS updated?

You said married after 6 months and spent a week. Did you marry on your first meeting in person? And spend 1 week total together? If that is the case this will be something you need to address for sure.

Did you go on honeymoon?

Were any of his/your family at the wedding?

With your notes you will be able to paint a clearer picture and begin to prepare.

Please collect your GCMS notes and address all the red flags effectively. Nothing to worry...if your relationship is genuine, you will get the approval just after the interview.

You have to prepare well.

I will definitely do that. ImABule, to answer your earlier question, no email, no update through ECAS, we've gotten every other email like the SA and AOR though. And yeah, that's the case, I'm hoping the interview will be soon but even if not I'm seeing him for the whole of July and we're having a pretty big church wedding with friends and family, honeymoon in New Zealand right after. I'm hoping all of that will convince them! Thank you for the thread, I will definitely look that up and scourge my GCMS notes for information. It's a busy season at work for me so I cant do it right now :'(

Did you only send pics and communication as your proofs?

Start collecting and creating more proofs now. Update your cra account and show your status/husbands name. Maybe get some term life insurance and name him beneficiary. Save wedding invitations and take lots of pictures on your upcoming trip. Passport stamps and boarding passes. Add him as an authorized user on your credit card.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. When SVO places your case on interview queue, they will not email that decision. They just return all evidences and interview letter by regular mail. But they will email you the further information for interview date. Who knows what date they are going to contact us for that A few months? A year?
