Congrats to you guys, hope you get the visa, which I'm sure you will given that you already got "Recommend Waived" for interview. However, I won't pop the champagne until you physically see the visa in her passport, because you don't want to end up like this guy (I've seen this happen 4x on the forum to Vietnmaese)

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/outland-sponsorship-vietnam-sudden-interview-request-t244612.0.html

The guy messaged me just last week saying she actually got refused :(

Wtf.. Just because an officer quit?! That's absurd.

Hi everyone,

I woke up this morning and saw a miss call from my wife at 2am. I knew something happened. I knew we either received the PPR email, or the PPR email was sent to us.

and YES, WE RECEIVED THE PPR!!! Congratulation to us. And sorry 5CAD (for the GCMS notes I ordered end of April), you have died in vain...

To anyone who share the same timeline and situation with us (i.e. filed the application in Sep 2015, recommended waived for interview around Jan 2016), expect the PPR soon!!

Good for you! Heed mikeymyke's advice and don't make any concrete plans until the visa is in the passport and the passport is in her hands! It is so good to see some movement from the Singapore visa office. At one point it seemed like they had all decided to go on a month long company retreat!

Please do keep us updated, and I hope congratulations will be in order shortly!

Even reading it makes me feel sick already. Poor that guy ??? ??? It is like gently flying you to heaven and then throwing, as hard as it can, you back to the earth.

Hopefully everything would be fine for us.

For sure. We will still live our lives as normal. No quitting job, no booking flight and whatnot.

And yes, we will definitely keep you all posted.

Hi Guys, first time posting here. Would appreciate some help.

Our file has been with Singapore since November 2015...application reached Mississauga in September. Online status says In Process ever since November when we received emails saying applications have been received and I, the sponsor has been approved. Contacted MP's office recently and got results back saying Security and Criminality hasn't been initiated yet for my wife, the applicant.

I live in Canada and I've travelled several times back home to be with her. Got a ton of documents/pictures to prove our time together. How do we get them to SVO? I tried submitting the IRCC form and doesn't seem to be getting anywhere.

I've been searching through the forums for a while and got bits and pieces of helpful hints here and there. But I want to ask here at once while I'm at it. Is there a difference between AITP and GCMS? Which should I fill up? And, how?

Lastly, I'm now thinking of applying for her TRV and see where that goes. Any tips and suggestions?

How long did the MP office take to get back to you?

When my wife and I submitted extra documents we sent a case specific enquiry to SVO and we also mailed a physical copy to SVO to their postal address.

You apply for GCMS notes through ATIP. Google apply for GCMS notes and you will see the Access to Information and Privacy link. Your wife will fill IMM5744 which is a consent to release the information to you. She fills Section A with her info and puts your info in Section C. Have her check off email to receive the notes. She will print and sign the form and then scan it and send it to you. Upload it when asked to when applying for the notes. You want to order the Permanent Residence notes and choose the electronic files.

You can apply for a TRV at any time and it won't hurt the PR application. Show as many ties as possible for your wife to her country.

Hi BonManush,

To send additional proof to support your application, since you have ton of them, I suggest you to send all of them through mail. Just put a cover letter with information of the Principal Application so that they know where to put the proof to. Below is the address of Singapore VO:

Immigration Section | Section d'immigration
High Commission of Canada
Singapore | Singapour
Facsimile | Télécopieur : (65) 6854-5874
E-mail Address | Adresse courriel : Singapore-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca
Website | Site Web : www.cic.gc.ca | www.singapore.gc.ca
Street Address | Adresse de rue: One George Street, #11-01, Singapore 049145
Mailing Address | Adresse d’expédition : P.O. Box 845, Robinson Road, Singapore 901645

GMCS notes and ATIP notes are actually the same. These notes give you the detail/insight information of what the VO has been processed on your file. You can go to this link, https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en, to request the notes. Follow this video to know how to request one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_E_dq_uLVo. Our forum has some topic with instructions, you can search for it.

Thanks for the reply, pham!

MP's office took about 3 weeks.

If I may ask, what other documents did you have to add since you only applied in February? Did you get any confirmation back from the case specific enquiry? Which method do you think worked better - online or mail?

Thanks for the rest of the tips, blue!

We had to update an error on my wife's form, and I had just visited her and went on vacation to Bali, so we took the opportunity to send both the form and a pile of new proofs. We never did receive a confirmation but we also sent another case specific email asking them to add my wife's district and province to her address on ECAS and it was done in 3 days. We didn't get a response from that email either.

I just submitted additional evidence of trips that my wife and I took since our original submission. Did it online (see https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx). Only problem is the restriction on size of file. We received a confirmation e-mail immediately after our submission. However, I don't expect to hear anything back from them.

thanks cheng9999 and ImABule for replying

Congratulations phamhainguyen68!! It's encouraging to finally see some movement from SVO.
Hoping for the best for you!

@htquach I had done the same - submitted a few documents using the case specific enquiry. The email said about 10 days and I did get a response back within that time asking me to resubmit with more application information added. Which made no sense to me as the form asks all of those information anyways. I still added all that in the body of the message and resubmitted. I'm hoping to hear back from them again in 10 days. But the thing is that I have probably 10x more documents that I can possibly submit. As you said, the documents size is restricted in the form.

GCMS notes arrived. The notes were one month after SVO received our file. SVO has not done anything, other than inputting the application into the system.

Only exciting information is "Excess photos have been shredded." Probably related to the extra set of passport photos I submitted because I was not sure what size.

Back to the wait!!
