hi ...sky...actually it varies.........it took 1.5 month to ppr after sending re-medical of mine
Thank you tic_toe. Pray so that you get your passport soon

Here is how my wife's status now displays on the CIC web site. It was originally sent to Mississauga by my lawyer and from what I understand it will be transferred to Singapore.

Permanent Residence

1) We received your application for permanent residence on July 23, 2015.
2)We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on October 9, 2015.
3)We started processing your application on September 23, 2015.
4)Medical results have been received.

I am guessing that if I was to make an information display life people are doing it would look like this.

Category........: FAM
Visa Office......: Singapore
App. Filed.......: July 12, 2015
AOR Received.: July 23, 2015
File Transfer...: Sept 23, 2015
AOR2 Received.: Oct 9, 2015
Med's Done....: May 7th 2015

So now I am waiting to see if the interview is waved. If it is waived then the process will be much shorter than the 27 month estimate?

Am I correct in my assumptions?

Yes Nimitz, you are correct. If there are no red flags in your application and you have provided sufficient proof of a genuine relationship you can expect to obtain the visa in less than a year. Recently, people with strong applications have been getting passport requests in as little as 6 months or so (Of course, with the interview waived. Being put on the interview list increases the processing time greatly for SVO).

yaaaaahooooo :D i just received passport request

First of all congrats for the ppr! And in the Appendix C form u only have to fill up your own details.Since your wife sponsored you and you don't have any accompanying family to travel with you don't need to fill anything except your details.I hope my answer sounds clear.

Hi Skystar, my wife received her PPR earlier and when she filled out the Appendix C, we included my information as well. Singapore sent us back the Passport with Visa sticker in 2 weeks.

Hello everybody,

Below is my spouse's timeline.

it is going to be at least two months since the status on ecas went to 'in process' but we heard nothing so far. I received AOR from Mississauga and my wife received AOR from Singapore. That is all the communication we received.

I was wondering if anyone ever received interview letter after their ecas status went to 'in process'. Getting worried.

Not sure if we are out of the interview hook. Just ordered GCSM and it will take some time.

Thank you.

Hi,
My spouse's application timeline is:

Application received : Feb 12, 2015
Sponsorship approved : April 19, 2015
Application sent to Singapore : April 26, 2015
Ecas in process: September 01, 2015 (could be earlier. Checked the status after a while on 1st September and saw that it was'in process')

Guys,

Here is a snippet from my GCMS notes if you're interested to see from the Visa Officer Point of View what they look for in an application.

We had something similar too, they were very satisfied with the fact that my disabled mother was able to fly all the way to Vietnam to attend the wedding.
