I have a friend applied Oct 2010 and asking for passport but same before one moth person did not get any response from singapore.Mine is still long time to go ufff

Well I got a call back from the MP's office and she said she would inquire, but that often, if the application is still within "normal" processing times, the office processing the application won't say much about it. Technically, I'm still in normal processing times because singapore is listed as being 20 months, even though most people get it in 3-8 months these days.

I will update you on what the MP is able to get from the visa office.

Most of my Viet friend from 2010 got their response from SG, some have ppr and other is interview list. I think SG is working on Jan/Feb 2011 now. I know one girl with app fill in Feb 2011 and she got her Visa yesterday.

at least it is a good sign.i eish if singapore could update monthly they are working on which month and year file. i am sure we will less warry and wait like cic-m .
is there anyway to know singapore working on which month file.

I think they look at them all very shortly after they get them, and then put some in different piles depending on what's in the application.

Some people that sent theirs in May have already been approved and landed in Canada....

This is evidence that they are either very dis-organized, or they look at them way before the applications are even "in process." The term "in process" doesn't mean anything.

are you kidding ? they already approve May ?? from Singapore??

The latest case I know is Feb 2011.

Heh. lenardparnold's app was 'received' in Singapore more than a month after mine, and went 'in process' more than a month before mine. And he's in the 'jesus wtf people who applied after me are getting done first' camp himself!

That is what we have been led to believe as well, that they do a kind "triage" with the files. The ones that on the surface appear to be very straightforward (by whatever criteria who knows) get fast tracked for processing the others are lumped together and have a more in depth look taken at them.

Again simply my understanding is the term "in process" seems to mean the actual triage has been done and now they are working on the physical file so a more complicated one is going to take longer in process and one less so will happen more quickly. I know in our experience we got the PPR 3 days after it went in process.

thanks ssskk! err i must have had some weird settings for my inbox. i really cant remember what my 3rd question was to u.. can u tell me what it was :|

it was, if I had contacted SG office or if they did during this time.

Well they just posted the most recent processing times. I thought singapore's time would go down because of all the people I'm seeing getting through in 4-8 months. But it went up actually... Now it is listed as 21 months. Before 20. This must mean that all the people on here must be pretty lucky getting it that quick because they are in a very small %. Singapore processes 80% of their application in 21 months! :O :( I'm going on 10 months. Might only be half way through the process. :(

Just a heads up for all the people who have not seen their application as "In Process". I have ordered and received my CAIP notes and my application states as "In Process", but still says "Application Received" on the website. They are currently looking at the medicals.

plsss can anyone advise, my husband is in thailand and i have sent in application to sponsor him, received letter from canadian immi that im approved to sponsor him, and sent the papers to singapore....but its now 6months and weeks since i applied for him, no word yet from singapore...plsss anyone should advise on this plssss....no email or number to contact singapore i tried contacting but not working! plss advise wat i need to do!!!!!!!!!!!

It doesn't look good singapore time line is increasing. they are ended with 21 monthes processing. I have knows two of my friend apply Singapore
Apply Oct 2010 still no response
Apply Dec 2010 already asked for passport.

I applied May 25 2011, still stuck with Quebec approval. I am worry singapore time line always increasing.
Any one can tell me which date of file they are working or which month people are getting answer.
Thank you
