So my theory seems on track - the processing time-length depends on the country of citizenship.

"""Processed Decision is ready for collection at Canada Visa Application Center Dhaka. Please collect your Decision from Canada Visa Application centre between 15:00-17:00 Hours.""

Any news from bigjump and jo-macral? Thailand is their country of origin....submitted pp 6/27 and 6/30. I think a variety of factors come into play and we can only guess what delays their process during this last step.

seems jo-macral got decision made about a week ago, so that means he will have to wait another 3-4 weeks.
not sure about bigjump.

On a off related subject, the more I visit this thread, the more minuses (-1) i seem to achieve. And looking at other members on here as well, seems that most of us have more minuses than positves. I noticed this months ago while reading posts and i remembered wondering what message was offensive at all??? It is quite the contrast compared to other thread topics. Doesn't bother me at all . Just wondering if you think the same as I do...perhaps there is a grumpy person who feels there is nothing better to do than give us all bad ratings haha. If so, why on earth would feel the need to do this? Weird.

Hahaha. That last comment made me laugh more than it should have...

So, two got their passport pick up requests today (after their long wait). Hopefully two more tomorrow, which is a good week for this office I think.

We sent off the Passport on the 27th of June, had decision made around the 20th of July. Still waiting for anymore news. Congrats to those who have passports on the way back to them!

Still "Application Received". How long does it normally take to switch to "In Process"?

Just got the text that the passport is in Bangkok. Sent the message at 4:30 on a Friday... the office closed at 5.... and Monday is a holiday.... Ohhhhhh. Here come the longest 3 days ever!

So nervous to open that envelope, but just can't wait to get it in our hands.

I suppose since we have waited 30 odd months 3 odd days should feel like peanuts....

Is this the "usual" timeline? My wife is from Thailand and she's been reading Thai forums and people who applied in last September are starting to get visas.
