hi i found this in CIC's website:

Note for spousal sponsorship:

◦The sponsor will only have access to information about the sponsorship part of an application.
◦The applicant will only have access to information about the permanent residence part of an application.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=030&t=3

That must indicate that a separate UCI number is emailed to the applicant so they can view their application status? We only got 1 letter from Mississauga with 1 UCI number...We still didn’t get any email from Singapore confirming application received.

I wonder why they don’t just have a detailed process description listing step by step process...that would reduce a lot of our questions and worries..y would they want that ;)

hi bangla,
as u said u''l talk to ur mp regarding trv refusal of ur wife, did u talk to him yet??

Hi AKHI,

I did. The MP rep showed me the officer’s notes… which stated that my wife's employment letter said she is taking time off of work due to family emergency and i mentioned in the invitation letter that i wanted to do a wedding reception...which did not match.. Therefore visa officer got all confused and started drinking heavily...went mad and refused..

Sorry about venting.. The last part about drinking heavily was made up by me :)...

From the stories i have heard is they will look for any excuse to reject your application...even if i correct this mistake and reply i can bet 100% we will be rejected again..as i have heard from people.. but i do intend to reapply with supporting document “the email i received from the MP”..just to show them that i am getting higher power to look for any mistake they might make...just a try...I'll let you know what happens the second time around.
I am also waiting for the reply from the Immigration Minister’s office of the letter I wrote asking why I don’t have the option to send my wife’s application to Indi Visa Office or China’s Visa office which processes application in 8-10 months… what is the purpose of the discrimination…

thanks david,
for reply..many ppl tell me that as i disturbed svo by emailing n faxing them thats why they give us d.n.a test req as a .so not so sure what to do? would it b ok to disturb them by emailing???
AKHI;
1.It does not matter how many email or mail or fax you have sent them or you will, they will answer if they think there is some news that you should know.
2. They just answer to one or two emails that's it.
Sending too many questions just make delay for all of us, just send email when you really have to.
More than 98% of children abroad or parents have to go through d.n.a test it's not because you send them too many email. We had many example in my relatives that they passed this d.n.a test and it took them even three years, I am talking about the time that average of processing time was 6 month (4-6) years ago.
There is nothing that we can do. We have to wait :(

Hi Akhi,

I would send a letter (written nicely), and send it to the street address to SVO.

Make sure to include file name, uci #, name of applicant and what is the issue etc.

Of course the DNA test is to verify whether your husband is the father of your son. He can do the DNA test either in BD or in Canada. Important thing is for you to know why SVO hasn't asked for it yet.

Hi AKHI: I understand your frustration! However, emailing them frequently regarding one single issue never gonna expedite your application process. Please try to understand the reality and pain being an applicant for PR in Canada. Many of us going through the same problem like you do. If you contact (email, mail etc...) them again and again about a pending issue, they just start ignoring your inquiry. It is very true, though you may not believe me. Thanks for your understanding.

Is it important to send documents specifically to the SVO's street address? Last week, I sent a letter to the SVO in Singapour, but I sent it to the "mailing address" (a P.O. box) instead of the "street address"... now I'm worried :-[
