yooooooooo !! yesterday i was somehow pissed so bad so what i did is SEND MESSAGE TO SINGAPORE AND GUESS WHAT I FOUND ON MY INBOX ? PPR !!!! WAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTT

Would you please advise me on:

1) Whether it is all right to send communication log (emails, chat history, skype logs etc.) to singapore VO now? When we submitted the application we had only 1 months history but now I can sent the last 8 months history.

2) How do I send a case specific inquiry to SVO?

I got my passport back with visa today. So happy. Any body know how can I obtain my permanent residence status when I am already in Canada? Thanks

Yes, you can go to a nearby border and tell them you want to do a re-entry for immigration. Then they will proceed from there and take care of it. You do not need a US visa to do that because you would not be entering USA.

Hi all, I have some good news from the Singapore Visa office to share. My Vietnamese wife's application just went in process on ECAS. Here's our timeline...

11 June / 2012 - Missisauga office received our application.
15 Aug / 2012 - Sponsor was approved, and application was sent to Singapore visa office.
15 Mar / 2013 - application says "in process" on ECAS.

Does anyone know how much longer we have to wait before they request for my wife's passport?

Hi.. A bit confused

We just received a package from Singapore VO in Post Mail containing all our relationship evidence - photos, wedding card, etc - but with no letter in it..

No PPR either, E Cas still In Process..

I thought we're supposed to get this back when everything is finalized? The package came after we sent a case specific query since it has been 2 months since In Process status and no communication.

Should we send another email asking about this? A little confused.

Hi Love Canada, In my case three weeks after went "in process" they requested my passport.

We had the exact same thing happen.....our package arrived in Canada mid Dec.....our case went In Process Jan 16 and then on March 12 we got our PPR and re-med as they expired early march. I may be wrong but what I understand is that they will send your file back (not in all cases) when they have determined that you have meet their requirements. In your case your status has also been moved to In Process so I would say you are in good shape.

I wish I could tell you it will all happen fast now but even though they have determined your case is good....it still takes them weeks/months to give the PPR

well I wish we could say definatively how long it will take....as you have read, some folks got it relatively quickly after ther status change and others like my self.....waited about 2 months....some even longer.

The good news is you are getting close so congrats ;D

Where in VIetnam is your wife from? My wife is from Can Tho....I am heading back there in a couple weeks.....unfortunatly I am not hopeful that she will have her visa befor I have to return.....
