Greeting,

I will be making a soft landing in mid of Feb-18. My consultant has asked me to take my birth certificate with me as it will be required when applying for SIN. Although i didn't find any such detail on the website. It just asked for COPR + Passport. Will the birth certificate be really required in SIN or any other process ? Actually i do not have my birth certificate with me currently.

Birth Certificate is not required.

COPR and Passport needed - and you would need to provide a Canadian residence address I think.

I used my visa, passport and proof of my Canadian address.

Can somebody confrm if Service Canada center is open during weekends at Pearson International airport for taking a SIN ?

I don't know about Pearson, but Service Canada here is only open during the week.
