SIN Query - Already Have SIN

Hi All,

I have worked in Canada in 2011 on work permit and i already have SIN.
Now i have got PR an i will be doing landing soon. Wanted to know if the same SIN will be valid for me and i will have to get SIN only for my family (they don't have SIN).
OR i will also have to get new/updated SIN.

SIN allotted for work permits are temporary. You need a new one.

Your SIN for PR will have a different start number to that of a work permit. So you have to get a new one.
