Hello, I am being sponsored under Family Inland Sponsorship. I am currently in Canada as a visitor, and I have applied to extend my visitor status (which hasn't been approved yet). I noticed this part under general PR instructions from IRCC

You must also notify IRCC of any changes to your application. Examples of changes include:

Change in status in Canada: you must submit a written statement to this office and include evidence to indicate the status in Canada of all persons listed in your Application for Permanent Residence;

Do I have to notify them that I applied to extend my visitor status since my initial visitor status expires during PR processing? I am not sure what to do. Any and all help appreciated.
Thank you!

Are you still applying Inland (SCPLC)?

Your first post here was back in August, regarding the spousal application. How much longer before you actually submit? :eek:

Since you have applied to extend your visitor status, as long as it was received by IRCC before your status expired you are now under `Maintained Status' (formerly Implied Status) until you receive a decision on your request. Because of this, you DO have legal status right now. You could submit proof that the extension was received by IRCC, but it's probably not needed.

My application has already been submitted :D This is just something I noticed while reading through instructions, reminders, etc. I was not sure whether I had to notify them or not. Thank you for the help though!
