signature on IMM5669

Hello,

In the bottom of form IMM5669 is written `I agree that by typing my name, I`m electronically signing my name`, does this mean I can just type my name ? I am submitting the form via case specific inquiry. I have no clue on how to paste my handwritten signature on that form, in the request mail from CIC is written that the form must contain an original signature. Thank you in advance !

Yes, that is precisely what it means.

Why are you not submitting through GC Key / MyCIC as a matter of interest? In any event, NO handwritten signature is required. I suspect the text from CIC is old 'standard text' that used to be correct until they changed IMM5669 to have an electronic signature back in mid-December 2016 when the new process went in.

thank you very much for your reply. Oh I did not know I can submit through MyCIC ! In the request email from our case ofiicer is written that I should send the form via case specific inquiry (including one more requested document). Ok, so NO handwritten signature is required, that is great to know.

If you're submitting IMM5669 through your GCKey account then just typing your name electronically is sufficient. However, if the request is not showing up in your account and you have to submit the document via case specific inquiry a handwritten signature IS required next to your typed name.

lots of people including myself have no option to upload any documents through MyCIC. I was hoping the site maintenance they did earlier this morning would have fixed it but I still dont have any option to upload through MyCIC

I did it the old fashion way because after linking my account I never had the option to upload documents. Still have no option to do so. I mailed mine to them last month. Within one week of them receiving it, my background check started. It is still in process.

wow, how could I overlook that I can submit all the forms trough MyCIC ! I just looked at my account and there is indeed a section where is written `my name Supporting documents`, underneath are the 3 forms and documents listed that I need to submit (Replacement needed) and at the end is Upload File ! I think I should upload them trough here and just send a case specific inquiry to the officer that I sent the requested documents trough MyCic. is that a good idea ? Thanks again a lot

If you have the option to do so. Upload it there. It is the best way. I had all the options you are taking about except the place to upload so I didn't bother sending mine this way. Make sure you upload it as soon as possible.

I will do so thanks for your answer, *sigh* I`m so fed up with all the forms and filling out stuff and re sending etc. etc. since 2015 ! is it over yet lol.
