Sibling Sponsorship

Are there any ideas on how I could sponsor my sibling from the Philippines? I'm a Permanent Resident. He's 17 years old and although our parents are still alive, they are all dependent on me.

If the answer to any of these questions is yes, you can't sponsor your brother on his own.

He can get a student visa, but you would not be sponsoring him. He will just be applying like any other student, and pay international student fees.

No - she won't because you are in Canada.

If you live in Saskatchewan or Manitoba, you might be able to. You will need to check out the specific details of the immigration programs in those provinces.

we made a mistake of applying via family sponsorship for my sister..
1. Applied April 2019
2. My Sponsorship approved in July 2019
3. Feb 2020: Asked for addl documents regarding parents(living in PH) and other documents i.e BC, NBI, cenomar, Family information sheet etc
I could feel that this will be denied since I cant sponsor siblings bec our parents are still living--my mistake
4. Status in My Application account "In Process"
My question is: can i re-apply via MPNP express entry now and not wait for the final advise the immigration office? thanks

Your post is a bit confusing. If your parents are alive then you cannot sponsor your sister (unless you sponsor your parents, your sister is under 22 years old and you include your sister as a dependent in your parents' application). If you did in fact submit an application to sponsor your sister only, you should withdraw this application. It has no chance of being approved.

thanks mam/sir. sorry to confuse you but yes the application to sponsor(as to the capacity only) was approved, we paid full including Right to Permanent Residence fee as required then it was sent to manila immig offices for further processing and it was manila immig office who asked for further documents regarding family information but did not receive any info since then. i am a bit hesitant to apply anew via MPNP since the status in my online application status is still "In Process"
as i've said it was our mistake to process thru family sponsorship which upon reading the requirements i cannot sponsor my sister.

There's no point proceeding with the family sponsorship application. It's going to be refused. I would withdraw it and not waste any more time on it. The next step is either a refusal or a PFL letter that will indicate IRCC is going to refuse the application unless you provide evidence that the sister can be sponsored (which she cannot).
