Should the sponsor file TRV for spouse (submitted sponsored pr already) or spouse can do herself?

Hi everyone,

I am a PR in Canada. I am in the process of applying for TRV for my spouse. I have submitted her PR file just last week. Given the timelines, it looks like it might take 23 months to get the PR approved. That's crazy. I want to apply for TRV but my question is, does applying myself on behalf of my wife from Canada will be quick or my wife applying herself from India will be?
Please help urgently.

Your wife can attempt to get a TRV but it can be very difficult to get approved as a spouse of. Canadian PR or citizen. She can apply on her own or you can help her or be her representative. It’s up to the both of you.
