Personal choice whether you work. Tax years are January to December and taxes are due May 1st. Next May taxes are due forJanuary to December 2019. If you were in Canada for more than 6 months last year you need to file your taxes. You also need to declare your international income.I know it is allowed to do so.
But in terms of taxation, should I do it?
and when should I file my 1st tax? finished the course or based on calendar year?
thx
When did you start working?Thanks.
I got advises from others said that "you better file your tax after receiving WP" & "just don't work part-time even better" due to the complexity of taxation.
I am going to study for more than 6 months, so the best approach is to file the tax before May 1st? (the end of 2nd sem)
PlanWhen did you start working?
You have lots of time. Have you even started studying yet?Plan
10 Aug 2021 to 10 Sept 2021: unpaid internship (i don't know if my study permit could cover it)
Nov 2021 to Oct 2022: PGWP
No. I am just planning ... (I would prefer to work part-time for social purpose, I am just not sure how it could affect the future)You have lots of time. Have you even started studying yet?
That's my concern:you can work the 20 hours per week and more during scheduled breaks. You just have to pay taxes. You likely won’t make enough to pay taxes.
Think you are overthinking this issue. That's my concern:
My financial status (credit) will still look good even I didn't pat any tax for the year of work?
Thank you very much for your advices.Think you are overthinking this issue.
