Dear Right and ahmadtajwer

Thanks a lot for this, to be honest, it is the same in my mind, as long as this wouldn't add any additional point(s) to the case then why should I tell them. It is only to make sure %100 that I made a good decision.

Thanks for everybody who spent time to reply me and I respect all the suggestions.

Hi TMSB!

Its true it won't increase the speed of your case but your circumstances are changed a bit and I think its better idea to let them know that you have completed your degree and after all Ph.D is superior over M.Sc and like I already said its a better qualification and letting them is good in a sense that you have improved from before. Its entirely upto you if you want to let them know or not but if I was you I would definitely have informed them of completion of my studies and if they call me for interview they would have already known in advance that I am Ph.D now.

Thanks

Hi there,,

Yes you are right in essence that it is much better than Just MSc and to let them know in advance that I already finished my PhD especially that I have mentioned that in my App form when I first applied. OK, let me think more about it and see what to do, thank you though for your advice.

Congrats TMSB for your one of the landmark lifetime achievement... It doesn't matter whether or not CHC put any additional value to it. Enjoy your personal accomplishment which might open some window for your career in future.... Educational qualification isn't merely a paper based recognition but it also enable one to be treated as specialized... Not everyone have the opportunity to acquire this... You can mail your certificate to VO but more importantly enjoy yourself thoroughly.... All the best mate

Dear fariza,,

Thank you very much for the nice words and feelings. to be honest, it wasn't easy to do a PhD, as the major requirement for the PhD is the Novelty of the work. I spent about 3 'n 1/2 years on it. and finally came out with something novel and wasn't available before me. Thanks again

I know how hard and passionate it is to be able to employ time in dedication to obtain a PhD (given my exp)... All the best mate

First of all!!
Congratulations on completing your PHD.
Its a great achievement.

Secondly any change in status should be informed to CIC/CHC regardless of its impact on your application.
Being a PHD will definitely create a better impression on the visa officer(and it is much easier to run background checks for PHD than for say masters, they'll just have to check your published papers, this is just my thinking).
And if while form filling you mentioned that you are a student than you should definitely inform about your phd.

Hi nano24482,,

Thanx for your reply, and the nice words. one thing is, I think the BG check is finished for my app and i am waiting now for the medical.
