Should I land in march or January - Kids school queries

Hello all,

I will be landing in Ottawa. I can come in January but due to the harsh weather I was thinking of delaying it till march. I wanted to know if kids will get enrolled in school in March or they would have to wait till the new session starts in September. I have a 9 year old and a 12 year old. Will it make a difference if I land in January from school perspective?

Either way, your children will have to admit in the middle of school year.

January will mean they will do most of the year in Ottawa. That's potentially nicer for integrating in the new school system... You should get in touch with potential schools to see how much it matters where you will live as you are supposed to go to a school in your district.
