Hey Guys,

I really need your help.

Application submitted under CEC: April 25, 2014
Application received at Sydney intake office: April 29, 2014
Bank draft encashed : NO (Still outstanding)
ECAS status: No information found
Email Sent to Intake Office: June 17, 2014 but no reply because file was submitted within 8 to 10 months

I sent my application with the help of representative and I talked with him over phone, he was telling me that may b my file is not opened yet for some reason or may be misplaced in office. He emailed to his friend who is MP (Member of parliament) to ask the status of my application on 23 July, 2014 and he showed my an email too. Beside that he told me about email he sent to CIC but didnt show me so i am not sure if he sent an email to CIC to ask the status of my application or no.


I wanna ask you should I email to CIC on my behalf? or just wait for next week to hear from my lawyer.

Some of my friends on this forum suggest me to send another file myself with cover letter and explain the situation but it would be great if some of other people can help me out with this situation.

I am assuming that you haven't received AOR and also I guess you have already crossed the standard AOR receivable Timelines - My Advice would be cancel your outstanding Draft from Bank which will eventually result in FILE returned back to you , Once Draft Cancellation is confirmed by bank , Better File again , to avoid any uncertainty .

Its my point of view , You are better judge of your situation .

Did you have a confirmation of package receipt from courier? We don't even know whether it's Canada Post fault or CIC's fault.

I second that, cancel the draft and start preparing for new application best of luck..

Hey I sent my application by FEDEX and I only have tracking code which show me it was reached at intake office on April 29, 2014 and also show the name of person who received it and did signature.

Better to go with new file. I would say do not cancle your draft. May be your file is already in queue, which would be very rare. After, sending your new application wait for may be 20-30 days, if you still not heard anything then cancle your first draft to avoid two payment. Because, second application will take at least 20-30 days to process your payment. Your call that was just an opinion.

BTW, What is the name of the recipient on proof?

Hey I will tell u the name of person who received my file at intake office soon coz I am at work rite now and tracking code is not with me. Anyway how do I manage 2nd copy of my ielts ? I can arrange all documents but I am pretty sure it's hard to get another copy of ielts coz we suppose to send original ielts certificate and which I already did with my first application .

I had used up my originals for my IELTS score for my PNP application. I requested the organizing college in my area where I took my exams for another original. They charged me around $30 for another original and it was mailed to me in less than a week's time.

Some where from Cambrige website. May give you idea how to get second copy of IELTS.

If you need additional copies of your TRF, please contact the IELTS centre where you took your test. Your centre is responsible for sending additional TRFs, provided that your test was taken less than two years ago. After two years it is not possible to produce additional TRFs

SO Try to contact to your test centre, they must be able to tell you the procedure to get duplicate copy. I know somebody on forum who got the second copy.

So you used FedEx, reached them, signed and received by them, they still lost your package? That's just unbelievable >:(

Have your provided them with your tracking number? You can even tell them who signed at delivery. Maybe your package is still retrievable, and they should put you ahead in the queue if they find it. CIC is just so incompetent...
