What does under review means? Help me please

Hey Guys, I applied on April 25, 2014 and got my AOR on Sept 10, 2014 (almost took 4 months to get AOR). In AOR email it says "Your application has now been placed into processing" but i cant see my status online.

I have another question as well, i sent an email to CIC sydeny intake office almost 30 days before to ask the status of file because of not getting my AOR after 3 months since i applied and today i got an email from cic and they wrote

file number : *******

Your application is with our office and is under review. Your representative was sent an email on 10 Sept 2014.

Thank you


But now i am confused because in AOR email they said my application has been placed in processing but CIC intake reply me its with our office and is under review. Please help me out, what does this mean ???

Being processed and under review don't contradict each other. In fact they makes sense as they'll only put you under review after they process your application. I think it's a good time to order GCMS note to try to find out the reason for review.

I guess the bright side is your application was not lost and you don't need to re-apply? >:(

But the thing is I selected Ottawa office to process my file and in aor email they said my file has been placed for processing that means they already sent it to Ottawa office but cic intake office emailed me and saying my file is with our office and under Review. If they reviewing my file at cic intake office why did they issue aor 2 days back :(

So Sidney Intake is reviewing you, not Ottawa? From that email it looks that way..
I thought only the Ottawa office processes your application. Maybe the Intake office found something during the initial check of your materials. Would be good to know what the problem is...

Yes cic intake office issue file number 2 days back and today they replied with file number and said my file is in their office means inside cic intake office and under review . But if they reviewing it why they sent me file number and another thing I didn't know cic intake review file too after aor. Anyway, thanks for your concern and do u think should I order notes now or I can wait until I can see check my online status . And do u have any idea how long should I wait to see online status after aor and would they mention my status under review if it would be under review in intake office .

I think you should order notes now. You don't know when they are gonna update your ECAS and the info should be in the notes already...

Hey, now my ecas status showing "in process" . Do u think I still need to order notes ? Because I applied my application on April 25 and received by cic on 29 April. When I click on in process status it says we received your application on June 9 2014 .

But do u think it's good time to order now or may be one month later because I just got my aor on September 10 and I think officer create note file after you get your aor and it's not even a week since I got aor and I believe I can't find too much information in my notes rite now so may b I will request after one month.
