Should I bring them?

I heard that any electric device (e.g. Iron, oven, CD player etc) if I bring from Bangladesh (or India) will not work in Canada due to different type of electric voltage. Is this information correct? Pls let me know, then I will take decision should I bring them them or not. Thanks.

no problem at all. U may need to buy converter only (for plugging into socket).

Electricity in Canada is 120 Volts/60 Hertz. Iron may work ok with a voltage converter (120V to 220V) but not the oven, CD player or any appliance which has a motor (rotating component such as hair dryer, mixer grinder etc) beacuse in India and Balgladesh these appliances are manufactured to run on 50 Hertz. They will run on 60 Hertz but not with designed/desired efficiency because of difference in cycles. You may also wish to consider availability of repair services and spares in Canada for making a decision.
