Hi, can anyone give some advice.

We already got our visa. Expiration is in Oct. 2010. We are planning to make our landing in Sept. but we will be staying in canada for 3 days only, then return to my origin country. We'll go back to canada next year to settle permanently.

should i apply for a pr card and have it to be mailed to my friend's address in Canada, then have my friend send it to me in my origin country through courier?

or should i not apply for pr card and just apply for travel documents next year?

what do you think is more advantageous?

The PR card processing is part of the "landing" process. Just get the card mailed to your friends address and they can courier it to you. That way you don't have to pay for a Travel Document.
