I got my ITA for BC PNP (Skills Immigration – International Graduate) today. If I go this route it would take 2-3 months for the nomination to be processed than another 16 months with CIC.

Based on the latest draw under EE, I would have sufficient point to get ITA without PNP if I have one year of work experience, that would be 6 months from now. Then EE application would take only 6 months. Isn't EE a much better option time wise then?

If you opt for BC PNP, it will take 2-3 months for the nomination and then express entry will take 5-6 months to process your application. In total, the entire process might take 7-9 months to get PR.
Things to consider for BC PNP,
- BC PNP specific requirements

If you opt for CEC under express entry, in your case you will be eligible only after 6 months. Considering that in August you have completed 1 year of CE and then getting ITA within a month. Once you submit the full application for PR, CIC will take 5-6 months to process your application if no complication. In total, the entire process might take 12-13 months.
Things to consider for CEC,
- If you are going via CEC no need to show proof of fund
- 6 months from now CRS score might have increased or decreased. If you are score is above 500 after 1 year of Canadian experience. Then you are chances are good, if you are score is below 450. Then it is risky.

Hope this clears your confusion

Things to consider for BC PNP,
- You should show 12 to 15K based on the number of dependents.
- There will be BC PNP processing fee of $1500 in addition to $950 (changes based on the dependents) for PR application. In total $2450 for one applicant.

Are you talking about OINP instead of BC PNP? because everything you said is not correct.

OP you should wait to have one year work exp, and then apply for EE BC PNP, the process is usually very fast. It took me 4 business day (not a typo) to get my nomination (EE BC PNP - Skilled worker), for average, it usually takes around 3 months. However, if you are able to secure an ITA without PNP, then I would suggesst you go directly with EE, as based on the existing patterns, it takes very long time for inland PNP to get PPR.

Only $550 compared to $1500 for OINP, plus BCPNP is very similar to Express Entry. Everything is online, you have points for you profile. They also have clear draw date and fast processing time

That's great for BC PNP'ers. why does OINP have $1500?

The Feb 2017 handbook has a $700 fee - still way less than Ontario but on the way up.

Because OINP prefers work hard instead of work smart. Can you imagine the busy bee OINP agents shifting through piles of paper documents everyday? while their BC PNP colleagues have some very nice electronic and pdf forms to go through?

That's just unreasonably expensive. I guess Krusty Clark is finding a new way to get more money.
